May The Waters Transform

May The Waters Transform is a limited edition 9x11" hand-carved linoleum block print with chine collé on 11x14" cream stonehenge paper in two variants: One with a lighter green chine collé paper on the vase and the other with a brighter green paper on the vase. Each print is printed in a gradient green rainbow roll, embellished with gold ink, and printed in the chine colle (collage) technique with hand-painted papers. The print is made in a varied edition of two types, and each edition is signed, dated, and numbered out of 35.

May the Waters Transform featured a print of an Ancient Greece-inspired amphora/ vase with swan head handles. Inside the vase of blooming leaves is a frog and its total evolution, and two koi fish protect the frog's transformation. For generations, Koi fish have been revered for their symbols of perserverance, bravery, and self-determination. The koi share their knowledge and long-standing association with the frog, who battles for their life as they move through 6 transformations before he reaches his final form. The waters hold us through so much, and with support and tenderness, we can transform over and over.
