The Bug Collector

The Bug Collector is a 6x6" hand-carved linoleum block print on 8x8" paper made in two variations: Green Ink on spring green lokta paper and Green ink on green mango leaf paper. These prints are in an open edition and will be reprinted as many times as the artist chooses. All prints are signed, dated, and labled "OE" for open edition.

This print is an ode to childhood whimsy and the feeling of lying on your belly in the middle of the grass and seeing life so small thriving in a patch of green. A collector's case of small critter friends: weevil, swallowtail caterpillar, rolly polly, cicada, leaf bug, grass hopper, lady bug, and june bug. These little critters are named after and inspired by the Hailey Hendrix song called "The Bug Collector". 

*Please note that due to the nature of hand-carved linoleum block printing, every print will have its own unique quality. Each edition is inspected to be the best quality and similar, but I cannot ensure exact replica of the print pictured on this site. Part of the magic of printmaking is all of the print-specific marks like "noise" or carving marks that add to the feel of the print. Please take note of this when ordering.
